On 8 October Latvian Centre for Human Rights celebrates its 30th anniversary!
We congratulate all LCHR current and former staff, members, board members, volunteers, fellows, and all supporters, who have participated and supported our work throughout these years promoting human rights in Latvia.
LCHR was established on 8 October 1993. Its founders are Žaneta Ozoliņa, Ron Kim and Anhelita Kamenska, LCHR’s director since 2011. Its earlier directors were Žaneta Ozoliņa (1993-1994), Nils Muižnieks (1994-2002) and Ilze Brands-Kehris (2002-2011)
LCHR goals are to promote human rights, social cohesion, tolerance and , and advocate for the rights of different groups and individuals in society
LCHR will celebrate its anniversary with various formal and non-formal events, which we will announce soon!
Soon we will start publishing several stories about LCHR’s work during past 30 years.
