The Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat has published unpleasant facts about the tender announced for making the identity documents and passports. A Finnish company Setec has won the tender 2 times, on the second time 11 members of the 12-person commission recognized the Finnish offer as the best. However, the Latvian government did not accept ordering the passports in Finland. The article also speaks about the conditions around dismissal of the former head of the Latvian DCMA Ints Zitars.
