Integration monitor

Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. They also gave V.Kristopans the right to invite professionals to take the minister posts even if they did not belong to the coalition parties. Soros Foundation Latvia organises a competition on the development model for relations among ethnic communities in Latvia in the beginning of the 21st century. The winners were the team of Jurmala secondary school No 1. The jury came to a conclusion that Latvian youth wanted to take up responsibility for events and processes in Latvia.
