The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. According to an opinion poll conducted by Neatkariga, 30% of respondents wants to see the governing coalition established by the Zatlers Reforms Party (ZRP), the Unity and the Concord Centre (CC) and the equal number of respondents wants to see in the government only the ZRP and the CC. 28% wants the government established by the ZRP, the Unity and the nationalists union All for Latvia!-For Fatherland and Freedom/LNIM. Today, the President of Latvia Andris Berzins starts meetings with the parties about formation of the coalition.
