Integration monitor

Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. According to the MP, member of political union “Unity” Ina Druviete, state policy should be aimed at unity of the society based on Latvian national values – ethnic Latvianness, state language and culture. At the same time, Mrs Druviete says that it does not mean a closed system; instead it would also be open to cultures of other ethnicities.
