Integration monitor

Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. The Saeima approved the language quotas for national TV channels. According to the approved Law on Electronic Mass Media, national TV channels will have to broadcast at least 65% of the air time in Latvian language.

Vesti Segodnya reports that according to one of the aims of the Latvian Permanent State Development Strategy recently approved by the Saeima, all Latvian residents should become proficient in Latvian language by 2030.
