Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. The State Language Centre has fined 190 persons for insufficient state language proficiency at work in the first half of 2007. Inspectors of the Centre also revealed 158 forged certificates of state language proficiency.
