The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. Latvijas Vestnesis features an interview with leader of the Romani NGO Gloss Leons Gindra. Mr. Gindra talked about main tasks of his organisation, namely, implementation of the programme aimed at the improvement of the living condition of Roma and the situation of Roma in the fields of education, employment, health and culture. Mr. Gindra argued that poor living conditions faced by Roma lead to illegitimate actions, therefore, the main focus of the programme should be on ensuring equal opportunities in the job market.
