Integration monitor
Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. Latvian Centre for Human Rights is not responsible for information published by the media.

According to the Head of the Secretariat of the Special Assignments Minister Kristine Vagnere, the Secretariat is working at new and improved programme on social integration in Latvia which will be forwarded the Cabinet of Ministers in November. The document is developed by a group of experts on various integration areas and represents state institutions, NGOs and independent researchers. NRA features an article about the implementation of the education reform in minority schools. According to the Director of the State General Education Evaluation Agency under the of the Ministry of Education and Science Evija Papule all minority schools have submitted their first reports on the implementation of the reform. Mrs Papule reported that the provided information shows that schools have problems with material and technical resources, however, attitudes of parents, students and teachers towards the reform have improved.
