Yesterday, the Committee of the Cabinet of Ministers refused to grant extra funding for the Naturalisation Board. As reported, the Ministry of Justice asked the government to increase state funding for the Naturalisation Board to improve working environment, for instance, equip examination premises with video surveillance and establish an anti-corruption department within the Naturalisation Board. The Russia’s TV channel “TV Centr” is planning to air a documentary “Baltic Nazism” on 16 March. The Minister of Foreign Affairs Artis Pabriks stated that the decision is provocation and it may cause a conflict between Russians and Latvians.
