According to the information provided by the Naturalisation Board, 90 % of Latvian citizenship applicants successfully pass the examination in the Latvian language already the first time, while the exam in the Latvian history is successfully passed the first time by 97% of naturalisation applicants.

‘By continuous focus on minority rights in Latvia and Estonia, Russia tries to make the pressure on these countries, so it would have an access to the internal EU and NATO information,’ stated the Estonian MP to the European Parliament Toomas Hendrik Ilvess.
