On Friday the New Era and the People's Party did not come to an agreement with the People’s party on their participation in the ruling coalition of the new government which will include the First Party, the Union of Greens and Farmers, and FF/LNNK. Therefore, the People’s Party with 21 deputies will remain in the opposition, as will FHRUL with 24 deputies.

The Russian language press –

The Russian language press – Chas, Vesti Segodnya – stresses that the New Era and the Peoples Party could not agree because of anti-Semitic views of leader of the Peoples Party Andris Skele.
