On Wednesday the European Commission adopted an overview of the progress made by candidate countries. The overview avoids any specific criticism and assessment of individual candidate countries. The overview notes that several countries, including Latvia, should continue to improve the work of the institutions responsible for human rights and minority issues, in particular concerning social integration.
