LCHR has started implementation of an international project AMIITE CODE (Capitalizing On DEvelopment). The project capitalizes the results of the previous AMITIE Project (Awareness raising on MIgrations, developmenT and human rIghts through local partnErships). AMITIE CODE involves six European Countries (Germany, Italy, Latvia, Portugal, Spain, France), two Regions (Emilia-Romagna, Andalusia) and eight Cities (Bologna, Hamburg, Reggio Emilia, Riga, Loures, Lisbon, Toulouse, Seville).

On 26 and 27 May Latvian Centre for Human Rights conducted an international conference 'The Implementation of the Return Directive: challenges and good practices from the perspective of the Central and Eastern European countries.' The conference was organised in the framework of the project „Developing good practices: promoting compliance with the Return Directive in Latvia, Lithuania and Slovakia” implemented by the Latvian Centre for Human Rights in cooperation with Lithuanian Red Cross Society and Human Rights League, Slovakia.
Project is co-financed by the European Union under the European Return Fund - Community Actions 2012

Organisation for Aid to Refugee (Czech Republic) released publication on political participation of immigrants in 9 EU Member States with good practices examples from another 8 EU Member States. The publication is published in the framework of a project Fostering Political Participation and Policy Involvement of Immigrants in 9 Central and Eastern EU Countries.
The action co-funded by the European Commission's Fund fo the Integration of Third Country Nationals (Agreement No. HOME/2013/EIFX/CA/ CFP/4234).

Goal
Encourage civic and political participation of third country nationals through civil society organizations and trade unions, thus giving them an opportunity to elaborate, implement and monitor matters directly affecting them.
