On 8 and 9 August, UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination examined the Periodic Report on the implementation of the UN 1965 Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination in Latvia from 2008 to 2016.
On 17 June LCHR received the delegation from the Senate Standing Committee on Human Rights, Rights and Liberties and Consumer Protection from the Kingdom of Thailand, which included S.Swangkarn, the Chairman of the Committee, Vice-Chairmen, and several Committee advisors.

Every year the Society Integration Foundation presents its Society Harmony awards for contributions in the field of ethnic and social integration. This year awards were given to 6 individuals, including researcher of the LCHRES Anhelita Kamenska. Anhelita Kamenska received recognition of the SIF for her contribution to promotion of ethnic integration.
