Integration monitor

Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. According to the CID, only 35,000 non-citizens have received new non-citizens' passports while the total number of new passports to be issued this year is 700,000. Old Soviet passports will become invalid for traveling abroad on January 1, 1997. Only 3.92% of non-citizens have received new passports in Riga.
