Chas reports that the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (OCME) finally accepted documents for naturalisation from the leader of Latvian National Bolsheviks Vladimirs Lindermans. Previously, Mr. Lindermans made four attempts to submit the documents but the OCMA refused to accept those arguing that he did not live permanently in Latvia during last five years.

Political party the Concord Centre (SC) is planning to appeal to the Constitutional Court if the new Law of Electronic Mass Media stipulating language quotas is approved by the Saeima. As reported, the amendments to the draft Law on Electronic Mass Media stipulate that TV channels which have status of national channels will have to broadcast in Latvian language not less than 65% of their air time and 100% during the prime time (from 7 pm to 12 pm).
