Integration monitor
Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. According to Chas the government has nominated member of the nationalistic party For Fatherland and Freedom/LNIM (FF/LNIM) Peteris Tabuns for the post of Head of the Saeimas Citizenship Law Implementation Committee. As reported, pre-election program of the FF/LNIM included such aspects as suspension of naturalisation, reduction of number of applicants for citizenship, withdrawal of citizenship from disloyal persons, and promotion of deportation of persons who are not willing to be integrated into Latvian society.
