The Head of the political party For Fatherland and Freedom/LNIM (FF/LNIM) asked the Prime Minister Aigars Kalvitis to examine whether the Head of the Naturalisation Board Eizenija Aldermane has been involved in bribery cases reported in 2005. Eizenija Aldermane responded that politicians made all accusations as a part of their pre-election campaign. As reported, FF/LNIM is also developing amendments to the Citizenship Law, which provide halting of naturalization and liquidation of the Naturalisation Board as an institution. One of the leaders of the nationalistic organization “The National Power Unity” (NNS in its Latvian acronym) stated that NNS is planning to form a special team of volunteers to protect the commemorative procession of Latvian WWII legionaries on 16 March.
