Some involved and interested parties express their opinion on the Language Law regulations. Anna Stroy, Chas journalist, in the interview for the newspaper “Diena” said that although some discriminating conditions are left, such as, the Russian language is not given any priorities to other foreign languages, however, it is a step forward to a dialogue. Ina Druviete, professor of philology, says that the trade-off between the interests of the Latvian language and international standards is found.
