According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Girts Valdis Kristovskis, Latvia should speak with its Russian speaking residents and to search for ways of reconciliation. Head of the coordinating council of Russian NGOs Viktors Guscins in an interview with Vesti Segodnya states that Russia should interfere into the situation with rights and situation of Russian speakers and non-citizens in Latvia as it politically interfered in the situation with Russian citizens residing in South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Mr. Guscins believes that ethnocratic regimes in Latvia and Estonia are becoming tougher.
