Chas reports about an international conference on community policing held by the EU Agency CEPOL in Latvia. Specialists of the European law-enforcement bodies shared their experience on work with immigrants and radicals. A representative of Belgium delegation advised to conduct prophylactic work with immigrants since their arrival to the country telling them that they should live according to this countrys law. Representatives of the British police shared their practice of attracting representatives of minorities and immigrant communities to police service thus promoting communication with these parts of residents.

Newspapers reports about the yesterday’s meeting of the President Andris Berzins with representatives of the first three political parties elected to the Saeima - the Concord Centre (CC), the Zatlers’ Reforms Party (ZRP) and the Unity. The CC believes that the best coalition’s model would be – the CC, the ZRP and the Unity. The ZRP and the Unity, in their turn, did not decide whether the third partner in the coalition will be the CC or the nationalists’ union All for Latvia!-For Fatherland and Freedom/LNIM and promise to discuss it next week.
