Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used.   • Mayor of Jelgava Andris Ravins: nationalists worsened integration process
The Mayor of Jelgava (city in the Central part of Latvia) Andris Ravins stated that the action of ethnic Latvian nationalists against Russian language schools pushed Russians for responsive action for support of Russian language as second official in Latvia. The Mayor believes that integration process is slowly improving in Latvia, but the action of the nationalists’ party All for Latvia! worsened the situation.
