Yesterday, the government accepted the National Security Concept elaborated under the direction of the Security Police according to which, one of the basic threats to the state security is ethnic split in the society. Five foreign investors applied for residence permits in Latvia since the new amendments to Immigration Law stipulating such option became effective on 1 July. In two of the cases the requests already got approved.
