Integration monitor

Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. Radical nationalistic organisation “Club 415” launched an action “Recognize the Fifth Column” aimed at revealing names of owners of cars decorated with Russian or Soviet symbols. “Club 415” calls ethnic Latvians to picture such cars and their registration numbers in order to forward these photos later to the police. “Club 415” believes that owners of such cars demonstrate their loyalty towards policy hostile to Latvia.
