Integration monitor

Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. Latvian Centre for Human Rights is not responsible for information published by the media.

Representatives of Muslim community in Latvia has sent an open letter to the General Director of the Latvian Television Edgars Kots criticizing broadcast of a cartoon “Cid: the Legend” at LTV-7 which, according to the letter, cultivates aggression against Muslims. The Muslims are asking the Latvian Television to be more selective in broadcasting, especially when broadcasts are aimed at children.
