The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. Newspapers report that Russia might cancel visa requirements for Latvian and Estonian non-citizens. According to a representative of the Russian State Duma, such draft amendments are under elaboration and will be submitted to the State Duma in May or June 2008. Chas, Telegraf
Activist of the National Bolsheviks Party Vladimir Linderman recently extradited from Russia to Latvia is arrested and placed to the Central Prison in Riga.
