The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. - Latvian Human Rights Committee is presenting a shadow report on implementation of the Framework Convention for Protection of National Minorities in Latvia
Chas reports that today, the NGO Latvian Human Rights Committee is presenting a shadow report on implementation of the Framework Convention for Protection of National Minorities in Latvia ratified by the Saeima in 2005. The shadow report will be reviewed by the Advisory Committee on the Framework Convention of the Council of Europe along with the official report prepared by governmental institutions.
