The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. In an interview with NRA, social anthropologist Roberts Kilis has stated that public awareness raising campaigns, which are aimed at combating negative stereotypes about Roma people, in itself are not enough to overcome the discrimination of Roma. Mr. Kilis believes that lack of Roma representatives in the public sphere is one of the main causes of their discrimination.
