The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used.   • National Bolshevik Benes Ayo discharged from prison
The leader of the Latvian National Bolsheviks Benes Ayo is discharged from the prison. As reported, the Riga Regional Court charged Benes Ayo for public calls to abolish the existing state regime with violent methods and imprisoned him for nine months on February 2006. Yesterday, the Court has replaced the imprisonment with police supervision.
