Integration monitor

Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. Chas and Vesti Segodnya report on the meeting of three Russian students from Latvia with the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe Alvaro Gil-Robles in Strasbourg. The main discussion topics were mass non-citizenship, the minority education reform and restrictions in the rights of non-citizens to participate in municipal elections.
