On Friday representatives of the Language Commissions of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania signed a memorandum of intent on the formation of a Language Council of the Baltic states. The Language Commissions of the three states support language policy based on European guidelines and minority integration on the basis of the state language.

Information Days of the Examination Centre of the Naturalisation Board will be organised once a month to provide information about the content and procedure of naturalisation tests. Visitors will have a possibility to take trial naturalisation examinations to test their Latvian language skills, knowledge of the Constitution, Latvian history and national anthem. The first information day is planned on May 22.
