“Latvia has to consider all possibilities to join the EU and we should consider very carefully when is the best time for the country to join the EU”, said minister of regional development and environment protection V.Makarov. The Minister said that if Latvia does not become EU member together with first group candidate states, the country has more chances to receive money from structural funds for environment projects. Foreign affair minister I.Berzins said that “V.Makarov is either misunderstood or let to be misunderstood”.
