Latvian political parties are not united about the proposal of the New Party to organise a public opinion poll about Latvia’s joining EU. The authorities suspect Mr.Zhuravlyov of falsifying the documents basing on which he got Latvian citizenship. The outcome of this case could be depriving the Council Deputy of Latvian citizenship.
