Integration monitor

Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. Latvian Centre for Human Rights is not responsible for information published by the media.

  • For Fatherland and Freedom/LNIN-All for Latvia! agreed with conditions for participation in the government coalition
The nationalists’ union For Fatherland and Freedom/LNIN-All for Latvia! decided to agree with conditions set by the Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis for participation in the government coalition. The union agreed that revision of issues regarding status of Latvian language, citizenship, naturalisation, rights of ethnic minorities, proportion of state language in education and repatriation will be initiated only with agreement of all coalition partners.
