The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. Yesterday, the Saeima adopted draft Asylum law in the second reading. Telegraf is concerned about the term temporary protection, claiming that eventually, it would allow the EU Council of Ministers to redistribute to Latvia some of the immigrants arriving in other EU countries (such as Greece).
