Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used.   • Russian mass media had the biggest influence on public opinion of Latvian residents about military conflict between Georgia and Russia
According to a research held by marketing research company FACTUM, Russian mass media had the biggest influence on public opinion of Latvian residents about military conflict between Georgia and Russia. Influence of Latvian mass media on public opinion was significantly lower, while foreign non-Russian mass media practically did not have any influence on residents. The biggest information source about the conflict was Russian TV channels. Other sources were Latvia’s Russian language press, Latvian language press and internet portals, Russian newspapers and internet portals, and Latvian TV channels.
