Integration monitor

Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used.   • 35% of Latvian residents consider that Russia is a threat for independence of Latvia
According to recent public opinion survey held by marketing and public opinion research centre “SKDS”, 35% of Latvian residents consider that Russia is a threat for independence of Latvia, while, 52% of respondents do not agree with such assertion. Among those who believe that Russia is threat for Latvia 49% are ethnic Latvians and 14% ethnic Russians.
