Integration monitor

Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used. Latvian Centre for Human Rights is not responsible for information published by the media.

Chas prints a comprehensive article about a meeting of representatives of political parties, religious confessions and non-governmental organisations representing the interests of Russians. During the meeting possibilities to consolidate the Russian community on the grounds of common values were discussed.

Latvijas Avize reports on planned discussions about the situation of non-citizens in Latvia at the European Parliaments Committee on Petitions. The discussion is organised by the MP of the European Parliament Tatjana Zdanoka (For Human Rights in the United Latvia).
