Integration monitor

Integration monitor is a daily Latvian press digest on ethnic minority and society integration issues. The Monitor reviews the biggest Latvian dailies: Diena, Latvijas Avize, Neatkariga (in Latvian language), Vesti Segodnya (in Russian language). In specific cases other information sources are used.   • Vesti Segodnya reports on establishment of a Roma coalition of the Baltic Sea region
Yesterday, in the framework of the International Roma Day, leaders of Roma communities from Latvia, Lithuania, Finland and Sweden have established a Roma coalition of the Baltic Sea region. The aim of the coalition is to join forces to solve on the European level problems facing Roma people, such as ethnic integration into society and labour market, education, preservation of cultural heritage, and combat of discrimination.
